Well how do I start a bio about myself? It has proven to be a harder task then I thought it would. I guess I can start by how photography became a part of my life.

My story is a cliché one...when my first daughter was born I wanted to make sure I documented those important milestones of her first year, as well as the everyday moments, and from there my passion for photography grew. I started taking some portraits for friends and family, and fell in love with how photography allowed me to express my creativity, and capture such important moments in time.

When I sat down and thought about what story I wanted to tell with my own children's pictures – I knew that I wanted something different then “just a portrait”. Don't get me wrong - a posed portrait is beautiful, but I wanted to capture the essence of their personalities. The blue of their eyes, how peaceful they looked as they slept (even with the drool), or how absolutely adorable a 10 month old sucking her thumb can be. It's the everyday things that an outsider looking in might think is silly or irrelevant, but its what you will look back at in 20 years and takes you right to that moment in time.

Since becoming a mom and making it my full-time job, I understand how each and every moment of your child's lives move by far too quickly, and I look forward to being able to capture the special moments in time that define your little ones.
