{year four…here we come}

My baby turned 4. {Insert tears here}

How on earth did this happen so fast? It seems like just yesterday we were holding this little bundle in our arms, or watching her swing in her swing (she would all day if she could!) Every year that passes, I find myself wondering how it went by so quickly, but this year that is especially true. I am trying to breathe it all in. The way your hair smells after you get a tub, the way you tug at my shirt in the morning and hand me your blanket for some morning cuddles, the minutes, the hours…the perfectly perfect regular days of doing puzzles, reading books, making your favorite peanut butter and jam sandwiches, and watching countless episodes of Toopy and Binoo.

This was a year of growth, and a year full of change. You started Pre-School this year, and amazed me with how confidently you walked through the doors. You also started ballet and tap class, and are so proud of yourself for being in a “big girl class”…but not half as proud as Daddy and I are of you.

As for the everyday – you are almost always heard before you’re seen. You love to talk…we always say you just like to hear your own voice You’re a force to be reckoned with. They say good things come in small packages, and sweetie this is most definitely true. You may only be 30 lbs at 4 years old, but you are so sure of yourself in so many ways (sometimes a little too sure of yourself ) You love being with your sister, and still after 7 months complain when she heads off to Kindergarten. You love to sing, and are always bopping along in your car seat wherever we go. You love the color purple, Alvin and the Chipmunks, Polly Pockets, your trian set, Cinderella, Michael Jackson…and ofcourse your white blanket and your thumb!

I am so proud of the amazing little person you are. Sassy attitude and all Love you to the moon and back sweet girl.

Well, most of you are celebrating St. Patrick’s Day today, but this family is celebrating their sweet twins’ 1st birthday! It seems like just last week I was photographing them as newborns, and now they are 1…where does the time go?
